I don't mind the 42mm wide size of the case at all, and I found wearing and reading this watch to be comfortable and easy. So, there is a tendency to fill those areas with something, and that something often ends up being unnecessary text. A better solution, in my experience, is to rely on contrast finishing or even additional textures to create visual interest in otherwise empty regions. While it is hardly a big issue at all, my only thought on this Pano collection watch would be to simply remove the "PanoMaticCalendar" label from the dial. I appreciate that Glashütte Original puts the name of the model on the product, but in this instance, it feels unnecessary to place that text on the front of the watch (as opposed to on the caseback). Again, just a minor refinement issue that I think will eventually work itself out.
